According to statistics, more than 6 persons applied for one place (6.2). Over 428,000 people were admitted to Polish universities for the first year of studies in the 2021/2022 academic year.

The Gdansk University of Technology recorded the largest number of applications for full-time, first-cycle studies and uniform master's studies. The Artificial Intelligence (conducted only in English), Interior Design and Engineering Management programmes were the most popular among the candidates at the Poznan University of Technology. Nationwide, the most popular fields of study, according to the total number of applications were IT, Psychology and Management.
